It all began with the search for valuable, exclusive, yet affordable furniture for his own garden. Since Wolfgang Eichner, founder of Teakoutlet, regularly traveled to Indonesia on business, he seized the opportunity to research the country, which is the world's largest manufacturer of teak furniture. After more than a year of searching, he finally found partners in Jepara, Indonesia, who met all his criteria for reputable teak furniture manufacturing:- exclusive use of high-quality plantation teak

A success story of direct sales for high-quality teak garden furniture
After the first sample collection was inspected on-site and approved, Teakoutlet decided to continue purchasing larger quantities, thus establishing further improved purchasing prices and a direct partnership without any intermediaries. Based on direct sales to its customers in Europe via the Teakoutlet in Bodelshausen and via the World Wide Web, extremely low prices for high-quality teak garden furniture were achieved, which were passed on directly to the customer.
Teakoutlet works with local carpenters to continually improve the details of existing collections and is also involved in the creation of new garden furniture classics that are durable and, with their timeless shapes, also in line with every fashion.
In addition to its collections, Teakoutlet now offers a service that is probably unique in the garden furniture sector:
Custom-made items at outlet prices.
Initially, only cushions were produced according to customer specifications, but soon customer demand for tables made to order grew. The "Bespoke Tables" program was born and was a huge success from the start. Teakoutlet now also produces all garden bench models to measure, and preparations are already underway for additional furniture that will be manufactured precisely according to customer specifications and yet still be more affordable than "off-the-shelf" products from other manufacturers.
After initially selling directly to corporate customers, Teakoutlet launched its web portal in October 2004, finally giving end customers access to the Teakoutlet product range. While the entire collection isn't yet available to order, the bestsellers are already online. At the beginning of 2005, the collection was significantly expanded again, and since mid-2006, the entire product range has been available to end customers. Along the way, the website is arguably the most comprehensive and informative website on teak and teak garden furniture: a detailed glossary, as well as information on the material teak, furniture manufacturing, and much more invites visitors to browse, turning every visitor to www.teakoutlet.de into a small expert on teak furniture even before they make a purchase.
